Why add a wooden fence to the garden?

Now that the warmer weather has arrived, it's essential to prepare the outdoor areas of any home, whether it's a garden, terrace, or pool. In this sense, it's time to get to work and get everything ready. Therefore, what better way to achieve this than by defining your spaces? And not just any way, but with a wooden fence, which will offer separation, security, and a charming rustic touch.

Measure the space and choose the right wooden fence

Obviously, the first thing you should consider when installing a wooden fence in your outdoor space is measuring the area where you want to place it. Take the measurements using a tape measure and decide how many sections you need and what their dimensions should be.

Place the metal base for the posts

As we mentioned earlier, assembling the wooden fence isn't very complicated. Each section is attached to posts, which in turn are fitted into metal bases anchored to the ground. Start by attaching these metal bases. Measure the width to determine the distance you need to leave between each base. Once you've done that, secure them with screws. If you don't want to drill holes, you can use extra-strong outdoor adhesive.

Attach the posts to the bases

Once you have fixed the metal bases, insert the corresponding wooden post into each one and join them with screws.

Secure the wooden fence with brackets

Now it's time to assemble the fence. To do this, screw the fence sections to the posts. You can use metal brackets for this: determine the height at which the sections need to be placed, drill holes, and attach the brackets to the posts. Once finished, screw the fence to the brackets.

Install the door

If you've chosen a wooden fence model with a gate , the installation process is very similar, although you'll only need to replace the brackets with hinges. In this case, mark the position of the hinges on the post where you want to attach the gate and drill the necessary holes. Once you've done that, attach one part of the hinges to the post and the other to the gate. And just like that, you've installed a wooden fence ! Isn't that excellent? Undoubtedly, a quick and effective solution. If you're thinking about adding one, don't hesitate to visit us. At Deco&Lemon, we have the best models for your outdoor spaces!
