Get wet this summer with above-ground pools

With the arrival of sunshine and the rising temperatures of spring and summer, what we crave most is a refreshing dip in the open air . Those of us who don't live near the beach or have a pool in our apartment complex or home don't have easy access to that refreshing swim, but we have a convenient solution : above-ground pools . Furthermore, if we don't have much space, they're also ideal, as we can disassemble them and store them in the garage or shed until next year. However, there are several things to consider before buying one of these pools. Deco and Lemon 2 removable pools

Tips before buying a removable swimming pool

First, we must consider that the ground chosen for our above-ground pool must be firm and stable so it doesn't sink under the weight of the water. Installing the pool on balconies or terraces would be reckless and could lead to an accident. The ground should also be smooth and level so the water doesn't overflow and the pool can only be filled halfway. We recommend having help, depending on the size of the pool.
  • Choosing the right location . It's best to choose an area that receives sunlight for most of the day. It should also be close to a water source for easily filling the pool, a drain for emptying it, and an electrical outlet for powering appliances like the pool pump. If possible, avoid the area with trees nearby, as leaves and pollen can pollute the water.
  • Preparing the ground . Certain precautions must be taken. Ideally, the pool should be installed on a smooth concrete or cement platform, but if this isn't possible, it's still necessary to prepare the ground. The first step is to define the area where the pool will be located. To level the ground, remove excess soil, not add soil where it's lacking. Remove stones and roots until the ground is solid and level. Once this is done, we recommend spreading a thin layer of sifted sand and watering it to compact it.
  • Pool assembly . Once the ground is ready, simply unfold the pool and begin assembly following the instructions for the specific model.

We recommend regularly checking several key points: that the liner is clean; that the hoses aren't leaking; that the ladder is securely attached to prevent accidents; that all screws are tight to prevent it from coming apart and draining; and that you test the pH and chlorine levels of the water weekly, adjusting both to optimal levels. At the end of the pool season, you can choose to leave it assembled or take it down and store it, depending on whether you need the space for other activities. If you leave it assembled, it's best to leave it full of water and use a special winterizing agent for pools and covers. Throughout the year, you'll need to check that it doesn't overflow due to rainwater or that dirt doesn't accumulate too much. If you choose to take it down , you'll need to follow the instructions in reverse and clean, dry, and store all the components properly so they can be reused next year.
