Fixed PVC lattice, how to assemble it and necessary accessories

Fixed PVC trellises are one of the most popular products for decorating, providing privacy, displaying plants, or creating room dividers on patios and in gardens. Thanks to the materials used in their manufacture, these trellises withstand high temperatures, sunlight, and rain, making them a very durable option for outdoor installation . Therefore, when buying a fixed PVC trellis, we need to know not only its dimensions and weather resistance, but also what additional materials we will need for proper installation and to ensure the trellis looks perfect in one of our favorite areas of the house.

PVC “U” finishing profiles

PVC "U" profiles are designed to create a "edge," improving the aesthetics and protection of the trellis, although ultimately it's a matter of personal preference. To determine how many profiles you need, add up the measurements of the trellis on all four sides to calculate the required meters of "U" profile. PVC lattice or trim profile Once that's clear, we do need to do a little bit of work. The U-shaped profiles are around 2 meters long, so you'll have to cut them to the size of your trellis for a perfect fit. Don't panic! It's very simple, and they're designed to be cut and adapted to your needs; you'll just need a jigsaw or a handsaw . cut profile end cap or lattice U-shaped lattice profile assembly

PVC joining profiles in “H” shape

PVC H-shaped joining profiles are designed, as their name suggests, to join several trellises together. In this case, the H-profile would be placed between two trellises, securing them together. Additionally, the U-profile will be necessary to cover the outer edges of the trellises and ensure that, once installed, each one has its finishing pieces. PVC lattice H-profile end cap To determine how many meters you need, you'll have to measure the distance of the side you want to join. For example, if you want to join two fixed PVC trellises measuring 1x2 meters and install them vertically, you'll need 2 meters of "H" profile, as you only need this type of profile to join one side of each trellis. You'll have to complete the rest with "U" profile. H-profile cut for PVC lattice lattice joint assembly

How to install a fixed PVC trellis on the terrace or garden

Most often, you'll choose to install the trellis on a wall or a half-height partition . In both cases, we recommend anchoring the trellis to the wall with screws to ensure it's secure and doesn't sag. Locate the spot where you'll install the fixed PVC trellis, position it, and use a power drill to secure it to the wall at all four corners. Once you've done this, check that it's stable and firmly attached. Alternatively, if your layout allows, you can also use cable ties or a similar fastening system. Now all that's left is to add a special touch to the trellis, for example, by adding a climbing plant, a small planter, or a string of lights. Is everything clear?
